For the past few months, I have had an obsession with digitizing old family photos. I put a few up online to share with some friends and family, and then I just became obsessed with it. A few photos turned into so many that I began to lose track of what I’d copied and who every was and what branch went where and how we were all related. So, rather than sift through everything and retroactively try to put everyone in his or her rightful place, I’ve decided to focus on one person at a time. I’m going to do a little research, go under the surface a little if I can, and then share them and their stories with everyone.

Some photos are very old, dating from the mid-1800s. Others are newer, from as late as the 1970s and 1980s. I will always give credit when I can because, as a photographer, I believe that a photographer deserves that. I’ll always give as much detail about a photograph as I can and cite sources when appropriate.

So, without further ado…
